Acting on a tip-off and after obtaining a search warrant, the police team went about and raided a residence in Colomb locality in Canacona at about 2.45 am on Sunday night, and recovered 582 grams of ganja, worth Rs 30,000, 8 grams of charas worth Rs 10,000 and Indian currency of Rs 18,600. Besides filter-papers, documents of vehicle and other things were seized in the house search.
One Joel Menino Fernandes, resident of Colomb-Canacona was arrested in this regard under NDPS Act, informed
police.
Canacona PSI Edwin Dias is the investigation officer, and the raid was conducted under supervision of Canacona PI Filomeno Costa.
