The accused also allegedly threatened to shut down the shack during the altercation, creating panic among staff and visitors present at the popular beach destination.

Police from Calangute Police reached the spot after receiving information about the disturbance and detained four individuals in connection with the incident.

Officials said an investigation is currently underway to ascertain the sequence of events and determine the extent of damage caused during the vandalism.

The incident has once again raised concerns over unruly tourist behaviour at Goa’s beach destinations, particularly during late-night hours and under the influence of alcohol.
