PONDA: A drunken Swift Car driver while taking a reverse accidently hit a mother and daughter, who were waiting at the Bus Stop, at Tisk-Ponda, on Tuesday.
According to Ponda Police, the incident took place at 3 pm. Samar Haru Bag (42), Asha Samar Baga (38) and their daughter Sanvi Bag (8) were standing at the bus stop waiting for bus to go Shiroda.
Suddenly, the Swift Car driver, who was coming in a reverse direction, lost control over his car and banged them. Asha fell on the ground and got trapped under the car receiving injuries, her daughter Sanvi too was injured. Samar jumped to the side to escape unhurt. Later, they were shifted to Goa Medical College and Hospital for treatment.
Ponda Police have taken custody of the driver for further inquiry.
