PANJIM: In view of ensuing Zilla Panchayat elections across 50 constituencies, the government has declared dry day from March 21 to 23 across State, excluding urban areas.
In a notification issued, Department of Finance, has also issued restrictions on the transportation of liquor quantity from one place to another or the quantity that a person can possess without permit.

“All licenced premises for the sale of liquor, located within ZP constituencies of North and South Goa, shall be closed from midnight of March 21 to midnight of March 23, being the day of counting of votes, in view of general elections to ZP constituencies,” a government notification reads.
