VASCO: Dry grass caught fire in an open area outside Zuari Indian Oil Tanking Limited (ZIOTL) Sancoale.
Vasco fire station officials along with their Verna counterparts had to rush to the site and extinguish fire.
According to sources, after receiving information about the incident which occurred at around 11.30 am, the Vasco fire station staff rushed to the spot and doused the fire at around 1.30 pm.
Later, after some time yet again the fire broke out and spread and this time Verna Fire station staff rushed to the site and extinguished the fire. Some passersby informed that the intensity of the fire created panic among the people along the Varunapuri to Verna stretch.
