MARGAO: There was a minor fire reported at the Nessai Industrial Estate on Saturday afternoon when some dry grass caught fire and it spread to the adjoining scrapyard.
The Margao Fire and Emergency Services (F&Es) rushed to the site after receiving the call and were able to douse the fire. The fire brigade officials told reporters that they had been told that scrap materials had caught on fire, but they found that it was mostly dry grass which was mixed with some scrap material including discarded wooden pieces.
