DSS marks Dr Ambedkar’s birth anniversary

MARGAO: Dalit Seva Sanghatana (DSS) Goa celebrated its 23rd annual day and 130th Birth Anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar, at Ravindra Bhavan, Margao.  

Union Minister of Ports, Tourism, Shipping and Waterways Shripad Naik was the chief guest. Rajya Sabha Member of Parliament Vinay Tendulkar, Deputy Chief Minister Chandrakant (Babu) Kavlekar, BJP In-Charge of Kerala P K Krishnadas, former MLA of Fatorda and Chairman of Ravindra Bhavan Damu Naik along with President of DSS Vinisha Tamboskar and other dignitaries shared the desk. The dignitaries inaugurated the programme by lighting the lamp and garlanding the photo of Dr Ambedkar.

Chandrakant Kavlekar along with Dalit Sakha Kisan Phadte were felicitated for their social work. People belonging to various fields from across the country were invited and felicitated for the extraordinary work they have done for the benefit of the society. 

Damu Naik in his welcome speech congratulated those felicitated and paid gratitude for the social work they have done so far and during the dreaded COVID-19 pandemic.
