PANJIM: Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) will commence counselling/admissions for the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), Bachelor of Dental Science (BDS), Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS) and Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) as per the provisional merit list as directed by the High Court of Bombay at Goa.
The DTE will also reply to the High Court by July 24. The bench on July 10 had directed DTE to prepare a provisional merit list considering the eligibility of 35 students who had petitioned it.
The court while extending interim relief to the students adjourned the hearing for July 17. Of the 35 students, 10 have been placed in the 1st merit list, which is provisional.
The 35 students had approached the High Court after DTE had sought admission forms prior to the NEET results which they were not aware of and that they were unaware that they had to apply for medicine courses before the NEET results were out as admissions were based on NEET scores.
