MARGAO Maina Curtorim Police registered an offence against two persons from Nessai, Sao Jose de Areal for allegedly cheating a resident of Odxel-Avedem to the tune of Rs 3 lakh on the pretext of selling property in Kotambi village.
Police said so far no arrests have been made.
Maina Curtorim Police Alency Dias, a resident of Odxel-Avedem, Quepem in her complaint stated that Richard Monteiro and Neha Monteiro of Nessai, Sao Jose de Areal induced her to purchase a plot and dishonestly cheated her to the tune of Rs 3 lakh on the pretext of selling a property in Kotambi, Quepem.
Maina Curtorim Police said based on the complaint an offence under Section 420 of IPC has been registered and further investigation is on.
Police said all documents will be checked.
