PANJIM: The Porvorim police have booked two persons for allegedly misappropriating funds of over Rs 6.93 lakh.
According to the police, an FIR has been filed under section 408 read with 34 of IPC based on the complaint of one Pradeep Aggarwal (54), Head, Finance and Accounts, PEC Ventures Private Limited, Pilerne Industrial Estate.
In his complaint, Aggarwal has said that between September 1, 2022, and November 30, 2023, at PEC Ventures Private Limited, Sukruti Doshi, a native of Thane, Maharashtra, who was appointed as an Assistant Manager, Accounts and Finance, and entrusted with the work of accounting and disbursement of money, transferred excess money amounting Rs 3,14,420 into her personal bank account and further Rs 2,81,795 into the bank account of one Aman Kumar and also Rs 97,600 into the bank account of one Pankaj Shrivastav from Delhi, who was appointed as a Purchase Executive by PEC Ventures Ltd. Thus the accused, Sukriti Doshi and Pankaj Shrivastav, misappropriated money amounting to Rs 6,93,815.
The case is being investigated by PSI Sitaram Naik under the guidance of Porvorim PI Rahul Parab.
