PONDA: Ponda police arrested two accused namely Yallaling Togari (31) residing at Zingdimol, Curti, a native of Bijapur and Chandru Unki, aged 45 yrs, resident of Haveli, Curti, a native of Hubli in connection with a theft case and recovered stolen gold ornaments from their possession.
Police swung into action when one Suvarna Kaisare, residing at Haveli-Curti lodged a complaint on 24 July stating that an unknown accused entered her residence by opening the main door and robbed a gold chain, two rings and two pairs of earrings all worth around Rs 1 lakh approximately.
