Duo held in Anjuna drug raids

PANJIM, JAN 17 The Anti-Narcotics Cell of Goa Police acting on a tip-off carried out two separate raids in Anjuna and arrested two people allegedly carrying a total of 3.78 kg charas valued at over Rs 3 lakh.

The Anti-Narcotics Cell of Goa Police acting on a tip-off carried out two separate raids in Anjuna and arrested two people allegedly carrying a total of 3.78 kg charas valued at over Rs 3 lakh.
PI of ANC Ashish Shirodkar said the first raided was conducted between 6.30 am and 9.30 am in which 1.910 kg of the narcotic drugs was seized from Budhram Rajput of Kullu district in Himachal Pradesh.  
Shirodkar informed that the second raid was carried out from 2.15 pm to 5 pm in which 1.87 kg was found in possession of Bhim Pal Bahadur Lama, a 24-year-old youth from Nepal.
Both the accused have been booked under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act.
The raids were conducted by PSI Punaji Gawas and PCs Dina Mandrekar, Ramchandra Kankonkar, Abhay Palyekar, Saish Pokle and Dashrath Melekar under the supervision of Shirodkar.
