Ponda: In a daring daylight robbery, an unidentified duo snatched a gold chain from a woman near St Mary Church.
Incidentally, the same duo earlier failed to rob another woman at Borim.
Sources said, the victim along with her husband was proceeding towards Ponda on a bike. The duo stopped the couple and warned them about incidents of theft and robbery happening in the town. They also asked the woman to remove gold chain and place it in the bag for safety. Taking advantage of the situation, the duo fled after grabbing the gold chain.
