MAPUSA: Mapusa Police along with Enforcers of Intellectual Property Rights (EIPR) conducted raids on two printing units in Mapusa and seized duplicate products that were being stored and sold under the brand name of HP. One person has been arrested in this connection.
While the first raid was conducted at a shop along the Hutatma Balkrushana Bhosale Road near the Civil Court, the second raid took place at a shop along the Mapusa road opposite the Civil Court at Altinho-Mapusa.
During the first raid, the EIPR representatives and the cops came across duplicate printing finished toners and outer toner box that were stored under the brand name of HP.
The cops arrested one Shailesh Prajapati (32) during the raid and an FIR has been lodged against the accused under Sections 51, 63 of Copyright Act at the Mapusa police station.
The duplicate products were seized with the help of North Goa SP Priyanka Kashyap, Police Inspector Paresh Naik and a police team.
