PONDA: Durgadas Gaude, member of Sahakar Parivartan Panel was elected unopposed as the chairman of VPK Urban Cooperative Credit Society Ltd, having its head office at Mardol, while Suryankant Gaude was elected vice chairman, on Thursday.
Gaude is also the chairman of Goa Scheduled Tribes Finance and Development Corporation.
He said that he would work for the progress of VPK Society and try to fulfil the aspirations of shareholders and customers.
It may be recalled that recently elections to the Board of Directors were held and Sahakar Parivartan Panel led by former chairman Hiru Khedekar had defeated the panel led by former chairman Surya Gaude.
It is learnt that there are one lakh shareholders across Goa with around 40 branches of VPK Urban Cooperative Credit Society Ltd.
