MARGAO: Deputy Chief Minister Chandrakant, alias Babu Kavlekar, praised all 40 MLAs for doing excellent work in dealing with the Covid pandemic, the Leader of Opposition Digambar Kamat, Fatorda MLA Vijai Sardessai and Aam Aadmi Party vice president Pratima Coutinho called for a revolution to liberate Goa from the clutches of the despotic Bharatiya Janata Party government.
Speaking at the Goa Revolution Day celebration at Lohia Maidan on Friday Kavlekar said the chief minister and health minister have succeeded in tackling the covid pandemic very well and said all 40 MLAs have worked very well to deal with their constituents in these trying times.
He said in the agriculture sector too a revolution has been brought about through the various schemes and facilities provided to farmers due to which agriculture is booming in Goa and urged people to remain united to fight covid by keeping politics aside.
Digambar Kamat said it was unfortunate that so many Goans died due to lack of oxygen, ventilators and even beds during the covid pandemic and lamented that the BJP government has become totally insensitive to the sufferings of Goans.
