PONDA: Revolutionary Goans Chief Manoj Parab on Monday slammed Deputy Chief Minister Chandrakant Babu Kavlekar for taking publicity for the works not taken up and done by him.
Speaking to the media persons, Manoj said, “The Deputy Chief Minister is making popular announcements that he has a vision to make Goa an organic farming State and already 13,000 farmers trained for the purpose.”

He demanded that if the Deputy Chief Minister had done this job then he should provide details of the 13,000 trained for the organic farming along with their names and addresses taluka wise.
Manoj challenged Kavlekar to provide list of at least 500 farmers. “If proved right, I will shut down my NGO Revolutionary Goans and stop questioning the government on public related issues,” he claimed.
He questioned, during the COVID-19 pandemic induced lockdown and extended curfews, where the government conducted organic farming training to the 13,000 farmers.
He alleged that the government is interested and enthusiastic in making popular announcements but the ground reality is totally different. Earlier, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant had declared Goa with 10 per cent water connections, then Open Defecation Free (ODF) and now both the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister are making announcements to make Goa a organic farming State. Without the roadmaps, how it is possible, he questioned and appealed to the people not to get fooled and fall prey to such popular announcements of the government.
