Dy Collector failed to come up with a decision pertaining to loud music in Calangute

Loud music has disrupted the quiet in the Northern coastal belt. The music played at high decibels has become unbearable to the locals residing in the area. Committee member of Calangute Noise Pollution Committee Ranjana Saudagar stated that their complaints are not heard, much less acted upon. In a meeting with the deputy collector, Saudagar requested the Deputy Collector to issue an order that loud music should not be played beyond 10 pm.

She added that the music only stops when the police pass by and continues once they’re gone. When Saudagar contacted the Calangute PI, he claims to have no rights over the issue.
