CANACONA: Deputy Speaker Isidore Fernandes played his role as a foot soldier for his leader Narendra Modi by leading the BJP Mandal in Canacona to highlight the achievements of Prime Minister Modi on the first anniversary of his second term. Isidore Fernandes, the Canacona MLA and Deputy Speaker, in the company of the Canacona BJP Mandal and all the sarpanchas of the six panchayats of Canacona constituency addressed the media. Fernandes said all the Goans need to support the Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant as he is working to the best of his abilities during these tough times even though the COVID-19 pandemic has put all the activities off-gear worldwide. Taking a dig at his opponents, Fernandes said those in the Opposition and those who were once in the government and now are outside should not oppose for sake of opposing and suggested to them to come up with constructive ideas to fight this pandemic collectively.
