PANJIM: Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP) Mahesh Goankar saved a person, a native of New Delhi, from an attempt to commit suicide at Miramar beach early Tuesday morning.
Gaonkar was on his morning walk when he saw a person throw his mobile phone into the water and then attempt suicide by running into the sea. Gaonkar then chased him and stopped the person from attempting suicide and later handed him over to one of his friends.
Sources say that the person’s construction business is running into financial losses leading him to attempt suicide.
