Come December 19 and people of Goa in a way will be really liberated from the clutches of government departments as they will able to get done many of their jobs on-line. 
Whether filing a complaint or seeking  permission  to do something — nineteen departments of  the  government  will  kick-start  delivering  e-services  from  December 19. 
To begin with 88 services from nineteen departments have been enlisted for this purpose, said  government sources.   However, at the initial stage, only few services of the departments have been enlisted for e-servicing as it involves upgrading and updating technology employed in delivery of services in a big way.
The Department of Panchayats has thus enlisted five services and has been highly activite as it has to complete training people for handling e-services, repair and replace computer and ensure connectivity before December 19.  
And certainly, it is not an easy task when there are 189 panchayats to  look after.
Menino D’Souza, Director of Panchayats speaking to Herald,  said the department will be delivering e-services on five counts wherein the applicant will able to submit his application on-line.
This include  application  for  income certificate,   application  for  issue  of  residence  certificate,  application for  issue of  copy of birth certificate,  application  for  issue of death certificate  and  search  of   birth  and death  registration.
The Forest Department will open up three e-services.  This  includes  application for  transport of  forest  produce,  application  for  felling  of  trees less than  two —  application  for  felling  of  trees  more than two and  application /renewal  of  sawmill  license.
Other  departments  that will also  offer  e-services    include  civil supplies  and consumer affairs,  art and culture,  agriculture,  animal  husbandry and veterinary services, women and  child development,  transport,  archives and archaeology,  commercial  taxes,  Central/ State election offices,    fisheries,  social welfare,  collectorate, settlement & land records,  higher education,  technical  education,  municipal council and  tourism.
