PANJIM: An Enforcement Directorate (ED) team from Kochi reportedly conducted raids on casinos situated in and around Panjim, on Monday.
Though details were not available, it is learnt that the ED team from Kochi arrived in the State and conducted searches on casino operators. But it was not known if raids were carried out on off-shore or on-land casinos.
Some of the casinos were found closed for maintenance and would open from Wednesday. The Panjim police, however, did not have any information regarding the ED raids.
