PANJIM: Co-promoter of Sunburn EDM events in Goa Shailesh Shetty was on Wednesday remanded to one day police custody, a day after Crime Branch arrested him in connection with Vagator rave party.
Shetty has been charged for misusing the premises at Firangipani Villa for the rave party and abetting to the offence wherein drugs were openly used by the attendees. With his arrest, a total of 24 persons are accused in the case of whom four including disgraced actor Kapil Jhaveri are charged with possession of drugs.
The event organiser was grilled for several hours across two days on Monday-Tuesday soon after which he was arrested under 1sections 25 and 29 of NPDS Act.
Meanwhile, Jhaveri has filed a bail application which was being opposed by CB. Sources said he was not cooperative with the investigation.
