PANJIM: The Goa government has directed all the government primary schools to display pictures of teachers to prevent the practice of teaching staff sending proxy on their behalf.
The Directorate of Education (DoE) has issued instructions in this regards to concerned ADEI’s.
Director Education Shailesh Zingde said that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi had recently flagged the issue of proxy teachers in village schools, suggesting that states to combat the threat of impersonation of teachers, to ensure the effective implementation of New Education Policy.
He said that the Prime Minister had suggested that a photograph with identity details of every teacher in government primary schools shall be displayed in the respective schools. Thus a vigilant parent or resident can report the matter to the authorities in case of a proxy teacher noticed teaching in school.
