PANJIM: Government of Goa has declared Tuesday (October 19) as a ‘special holiday’ instead of October 20 on account of Eid-E-Milad un nabi.
Meanwhile Governor P S Sreedharan Pillai, conveyed his heartiest greetings and best wishes to the people of Goa particularly the Muslim brethrens on the occasion of Id-e-Milad.
In his message, the Governor said, “Id-E-Milad commemorates the joyous birth of Prophet Mohammad. He was an apostle of love, peace and brotherhood. The great values preached by the Prophet are a strong force to promote goodwill and understanding”.
He urged all devotees to follow the safety and health protocols issued by the government. “Let us dedicate ourselves to promote the true values that the Prophet imparted for the welfare of humanity”, governor concluded.
