PANJIM: The Goa Police Department has promoted eight Police Sub-Inspectors (PSIs), to the rank of Police Inspectors (PIs), on the recommendation of the Police Establishment Board.
Two of the eight officers — Gautam Salunke and Laxi Amonkar, presently posted at Traffic Cell (Margao) and Crime Branch respectively, have been promoted on an Ad-hoc basis.
Sagun Sawant (Porvorim Police Station), Ditendra Naik and Gourish Naik (both currently posted at Anti Corruption Branch-Vigilance), Vidyesh Pilgaonkar (Anjuna PS), Chandrakant Gawas (Police Training School, Valpoi) and Prashal Naik Dessai (Fatorda PS) are among other promotees.
