PANJIM: The State government on Monday effected transfer of eight Superintendent of Police (SPs) with immediate effect.

According to an order issued by Raghuraj A Faldesai, Gurudas Gawade, who was Superintendent of Police (Konkan Railway) has been transferred and posted as Superintendent of Police (Legal & Vigilance). Harischandra V Madkaikar, who was awaiting posting, has been posted as Superintendent of Police (Konkan Railway).
Nelson Albuquerque, who was Superintendent of Police (HQ) with additional charge of Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB), has been transferred and posted as Commandant, IRB. He will hold the additional charge of Superintendent of Police (HQ).
Dharmesh G P Angle, Superintendent of Police (Special Branch) has been transferred and posted as Principal, Police Training School, Valpoi.
Prabodh B Shirwaiker, who was awaiting posting, has been appointed as Superintendent of Police (Traffic). Similarly, Santosh Desai, who was awaiting posting, has been posted as Superintendent of Police (ACB) with additional charge of Superintendent of Police (Special Branch).
Meanwhile, another order said Arahi Aadil, who was SDPO, Ponda, has been posted as Superintendent of Police (EOC) with additional charge of Superintendent of Police (FRRO), while Tikam Singh Verma, SDPO, Canacona, has been posted as Superintendent of Police (ANC).
