In a replication of similar past occurrences, yet another road in Panjim caved in on Tuesday while a truck was passing along it. This time near the 18th June road, en route to Mahalaxmi Temple in Panjim.
The portion of the road suddenly caved in when a truck loaded with Basalt stones, was passing through Panjim’s commercial spot on Tuesday, exposing the frail structure of the road.
In the past month, this is the eighth such incident that has taken place in Panjim, pointing to the poor care of infrastructure by the Corporation of the City of Panjim where smart city works are underway.
