CALANGUTE: El-Shaddai Charitable Trust and Little Acrons, Calangute organized an Independence Day rally to mark India’s 67th Independence Day at Calangute.
Calangute MLA Michael Lobo was the chief guest at the function and he flagged off the rally in presence of El-Shaddai Managing Trustee Mathew Kurien and Savio Fernandes, principal of Don Bosco, Calangute, and others.
A large number of students from local schools took part in the rally, which went around Calangute village.
In his address, Lobo lauded the management of El-Shaddai for supporting the lesser fortunate children of society.
“El-Shaddai organizes such rallies to mark the Independence Day celebrations to awaken young minds on the importance of Independence Day,” said Lobo. Mathew Kurien also spoke at the gathering.
