PANJIM: Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant has said that the forthcoming Goa State Assembly elections will be held in February 2022.
Responding to queries from media persons on Monday, the CM said the elections are likely to be held in February and thus the code of conduct would come into force by January.
The term of the current Assembly ends on March 14.
In 2017, elections had been held in early February and counting of votes was taken up in March due to the many phases of the Uttar Pradesh elections.
