Electoral Roll corrections in South Goa

PANJIM: The Election Commission of India with the prime objective of bringing totally error free and authenticated electoral roll has decided to launch a comprehensive programme - National Electoral Roll Purification and Authentication Programme, (NERPAP) from March 3.

During this programme the activities will be undertaken are linking and authentication of EPIC data of electors with Aadhar data of UIDAI, voluntary disclosure of multiple entries in electoral roll, correction of errors in electoral roll or EPIC.
During the programme, the electors have been given facility to feed his/her Aadhar number and EPIC number through the methods such as National Voters Service Website http://eci.gov.in, SMS, E-mail, mobile application, by making a call at ‘1950’ to State call centres. By submitting the details of Aadhar number and EPIC number in a hard copy of duly filled up form along with photocopy of both the documents, namely, EPIC and Aadhar letter/card etc.
Apart from the above, collection and feeding of Aadhar will also be done by Electoral Registration Officer. BLO will collect the details of electors during door-to-door survey/visit, the EROs/AEROs will also collect the aforesaid details through special camp, voter facilitation centre.
The general public of South Goa is informed that the special camp for NERPAP in respect of all 21-Assembly Constituencies is scheduled on May 31. The booth level officers will be available on their respective polling station for collection of form/information on Aadhar.
