Sanguem: The high voltage electricity pole in front of Sanguem Mamlatdar Complex building and the bus stand poses serious problems for motorists. There is a little space available for parking and since lawyers visiting the Mamlatdar office park their vehicles there, it causes difficulty for commuters.
The traffic police have put up barricades to prevent people from parking their vehicles as the space also acts as an entrance towards Sanguem bus stand. However now the motorists have to deal with the pole as well as the barricades.
Interestingly, the barricade which was supposed to smoothen the flow of the traffic is itself causing inconvenience to the commuters as people continue to park their vehicles at the same spot.
The locals have constantly demanded to the issue as the pole causes major hurdles to the bigger vehicles and especially to the KTC’s electric bus which goes to Netravalim.
Sanguem does not have a proper parking facility and to add to the woes; bus stand, bazaar and government offices all are at one place which understandably leads to huge crowds.
