VASCO: Pursuant to Herald’s report in its December 10 edition, ‘Elevator at Vasco’s Power Dept bldg not functioning’, the same elevator has been repaired.
The Executive Engineer of the Vasco Electricity Department informed that the problem with the gear box of the elevator had been attended to by a technician and was fixed immediately and that the elevator was working again. He added the repair work was done through the annual maintenance fund.
It may be recalled that locals as well as staff members had complained about the inconvenience faced by them due to the elevator on the four-storey building not functioning for a few days.
