VASCO: The elevator of the electricity department’s four-storey building at Vasco has not been functioning for the last few days. Locals as well as staff members are irked over the inconvenience caused due to this problem. Electricity department officials have claimed that it will be repaired shortly.
While there are over 50 staff members working in various sections at this office building, there are hundreds of consumers who visit the building every day. The building also houses the Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum on the fourth floor.
Locals have said that senior citizen and those who have health issues have been facing difficulties.
When the executive engineer of the electricity department was contacted, he informed that a technician had already inspected the elevator and that there was a fault with the gear box, which will be repaired shortly.
