Engine glitch forces Mumbai-bound flight to return to taxi bay at Dabolim

VASCO: A Mumbai-bound IndiGo flight with 187 passengers on board returned to the taxi bay at the Dabolim Airport on Tuesday due to a glitch in one of its engines.

According to Goa Airport Director S V T Dhananjaya Rao, a right engine of Goa-Mumbai Indigo aircraft caught fire on Tuesday afternoon while proceeding towards the runway from the parallel taxi way at the airport.

The flight had 187 passengers on board the flight and all the passengers were deplaned safely by the rescue teams of the Indian Navy, who immediately reached the site.
