MAPUSA: Mapusa Police caught a person with envelopes containing cash which were concealed in a scooter in the town on Saturday.
The Police received information from a Mapusa Congress Block member who alleged that a MMC official was distributing cash to people.
Police said each envelope contained Rs 5,000.
Mapusa Police were investigating the matter till late night.
