PANJIM: With the 45th International Film Festival scheduled to open in the State on November 20, the coordination committee of the Entertainment Society of Goa reviewed preparations made for taluka-level film screening, arrangements for receiving State guests, delegates, and other preparations.
Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar, who is still Chairman of Entertainment Society of Goa, was also present for the General Body and Coordination Committee meeting along with Chief Minister, Laxmikant Parsekar.
The meeting discussed various issues involving the PWD, water, electricity, roads, staff, painting of the city, cleanliness and parking and urged the concerned officials of respective departments to be prepared to meet the challenges and make the event a success. Parrikar suggested various measures to be undertaken for preparation of IFFI. The meeting was also attended by Vice Chairman, ESG, Damodar Naik, Secretary (I&P) Pawan Kumar Sain, IGP Goa Sunil Garg, Collector North Nila Mohanan, directors and representatives from various departments, corporations, autonomous bodies, etc.
