PANJIM: In view of reduced caseload of COVID-19 cases, the Directorate of Health Services (DHS) has allowed all the dispensaries under Employees’ State Insurance (ESI) to function, almost two months after they were shut.
In a press statement issued, it is said that the doctors including paramedical, non-medical staff etc should report to their respective dispensaries under supervision of the Commissioner of Labour and Employment after being relieved by the Dean, GMC.
In the wake of sudden surge in cases, all the doctors, paramedical and non-medical staffs working at ESI dispensaries were asked to report for COVID duty and accordingly the functioning of the dispensaries were temporarily suspended.
“In view of reduced caseload all the dispensaries under ESI are allowed to function,” the statement reads.
