MAPUSA: Union Minister of State for Tourism and BJP`s North Goa candidate Shripad Naik held a series of meetings along with Chief Minister Pramod Sawant in Aldona constituency.

Speaking on the occasion, Naik stated that every proposal submitted by the State government was sanctioned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi- led BJP government.

“Today you see the big projects such as Mopa International Airport, AYUSH Hospital at Dhargalim, National Water Sports Institute at Caranzalem, Super Speciality Block at Bambolim beside six- lane highway from Patradevi to Polem, which were possible only because of Modi’s whole hearted support,” he said.

“Development done in the last 10 years is just a trailer. Vikshit Bharat by 2047 is his dream and he is very systematically marching towards the goal. We see politics as a medium for development and service,” Naik added.

Chief Minister Pramod Sawant alleged that the Congress party was eying on people’s money.

“If you go through their manifesto, you will come to know their motive. Divide and rule has been their style of working,” he stated appealing to people to remain united and work towards giving a big lead to Shripad Naik in the coming Lok Sabha election in Aldona constituency.

Sawant also appealed to the people of Goa to attend the forthcoming meeting of Union Home Minister Amit Shah to be held at Mapusa next week.

This was Naik’s second round of campaign in Aldona for the May 7 Lok Sabha election. Naik, who is contesting Lok Sabha election for the consecutive sixth time, held the first corner meeting at Khorjuvem along with Sawant, former Aldona MLA Glenn Ticlo, North Goa Prabhari and Senior BJP leader Govind Parvatkar, BJP’s North Goa District Vice President Franky Carvalho,  Zilha Panchayat (ZP) member Manish Naik and other party workers.

Naik then held corner meetings at Ramtaleshwar Mandap and Aldona and interacted with Aldona BJP Mandal, booth Karyakartas and panchayat members of various village panchayats from Aldona constituency.
