Every second voter wants Modi as PM, says Naidu

PANJIM: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will get over 200 seats on its own in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls including a cent-per cent result in Goa, senior party leader Venkaiah Naidu said on Thursday.

PANJIM: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will get over 200 seats on its own in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls including a cent-per cent result in Goa, senior party leader Venkaiah Naidu said on Thursday. 
“A Massive wave is building up in favour of BJP and Modiji. Going by the present trend the party will cross the 200 seat mark and move further. Every second voter in the country wants to see Modi as Prime Minister,” Naidu said while addressing a press conference in Panjim. 
Naidu expressed his confidence of winning both seats -North and South.
“People of Goa have welcomed and are happy with Manohar Parrikar government and they will want to keep this party in power in Delhi,” he said. 
Naidu is in Goa to take stalk of the preparation of State unit for the Lok Sabha polls. He would be interacting with the core committee of BJP on Friday morning and the same evening he would be attending the function organized to celebrate 60th birthday of BJP North Goa Member of Parliament Shripad Naik. 
Naidu said that people across the country are frustrated and angry with UPA government and see hope in BJP and Narendra Modi. He stated that in his political career of 35 years, he has never seen people discussing politics to such an extent. “People have hopes that Modi will do something good for the country,” he added. 
To begin with, Naidu said ‘BJP will throw Congress out in four out of five States where the elections are scheduled in November.’ 
Five states ~ Delhi, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Mizoram would be going for elections ahead of LS polls in November-December. “In Mizoram, the party does not have strong hold and hence I cannot predict it,” Naidu said. 
Naidu said that party is focusing on states like Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala where the party has no strong hold. BJP will have rallies across 100 places in the country and Lok sabha convention in all the 543 constituencies in the run up to the polls. The party will also opt for the campaign through social media, a tool which is popular amongst the younger generation.
