BICHOLIM: Former councillor of Bicholim Municipal Council (BMC), Kamlakar Teli on Monday resigned from the primary membership of the BJP accusing the BMC and the MLA for ‘sidelining’ his ward on the development front.
It may be stated that Teli’s wife is the councillor and representing Shantaram Nagar in Bordem. Addressing a press conference, Kamlakar Teli informed that he has sent his resignation to the party chief and block president.
Teli claimed that he was forced to resign due to harassment as he was sidelined by the BMC and the MLA as there was no development in the ward.
“I had initiated several projects, which were approved but since last two-and-half years the BMC and the MLA did not make any efforts to complete them,” Teli alleged.
“I have no grudge with the party but the local politicians did not make any efforts to complete my pending projects since last many years. What I received was just assurances and false promises from the council and the MLA,” Teli claimed.
