PANJIM: Confident of his win in Assembly elections, former chief minister Laxmikant Parsekar was seen polishing his shoes in the capital city on Wednesday, in the eve of counting of votes.
After he was spotted by the media persons polishing shoes on 18th June Road, Parsekar said that since his victory in the election is certain he had come to polish his shoes.
“I am fully confident of my win and it will be sealed up after votes are counting and certificate is issued to me,” he said.
Parsekar is contesting as an Independent candidate from his home Mandrem Constituency after he was denied BJP ticket. To a question, he admitted that leaders of many political parties had talks with him but refused to divulge his plans.
“I will disclose my political strategy at right time,” he said.
