Margao: A complaint of criminal trespassing and robbery has been registered at Colva Police station against the son of former panch Francisco Cardozo and Jose Fernandes both residents of Colva.
The complainant Caesar Vaz a resident of Vasco in his complaint dated May 30, 2017, said two intruders trespassed on his private property at Colva while claiming to be from the government. The Complainant said “They said they have come to inspect the site, alleging that we were carrying out illegal construction. They flashed some fake ID and demanded Rs 3 lakh by the evening from the caretaker of the property. The persons threatened his caretaker and told him not to interfere with their work while doing their government job and said they would report the matter to some NGO called Judith and hence were taking photographs”.
The complainant also alleged a GoPro camera costing Rs 40,000 and 3 motion sensors stored in a box at the house have been missing and he suspects the alleged intruders of having stolen them while distracting the caretaker.
After Caeser produced a CCTV footage the 2 persons were identified as Savlo Cardozo son of Francisco from Colva and Jose Fernandes also from Colva.
Police sources informed that a non-bailable warrant for arrests of the accused has been issued.
