Ex-minister suffering from hypertension

The former tourism minister was admitted in the ICU Hospicio hospital minutes after he was taken to the Judicial lock-up by the Margao police as per the court’s order.
The police escort party handed Pacheco to the jailor attached to the Margao Judicial lock and the jail authorities referred him for a medical check up to Hospicio as per norms.
At Hospicio, Pacheco was medically examined at the casualty by the doctors. An ultrasound was carried out on the former minister, besides other routine checks.
Sources in the know said that Pacheco’s pressure was high and sugar low, with the police saying the former minister was suffering from hypertension.
A doctor attending on Pacheco told newsmen that the former minister is suffering from hypertension. From the casualty, he was later shifted to the ICU unit and was kept under observation. Police personnel are deployed outside the ICU to maintain close vigil on him.
