Ex-MLA claims BJP forced him, party workers to quit

MAPUSA: Tivim’s former MLA Kiran Kandolkar on Saturday claimed that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) forced him and the party workers including sarpanch and panchas in the constituency to quit the party.

Addressing the media persons, Kandolkar said, “We took this decision to say goodbye to the BJP because it has disappointed us (party supporters) and has forced us to leave the party.”

“BJP has turned into BJP-Congress Party and by importing Congress MLAs the party has betrayed the people. Congress is a corrupt party and by importing Congress MLAs, BJP has become the most corrupt party,” Kandolkar alleged.

“Goa Government has sold Mhadei to Karnataka and due to the coal issue; people are forced to come on the streets. People are fighting against the IIT project and double tracking of rail lines. People are unhappy with this government which has crossed the height of corruption. The Pramod Sawant-led government is the most corrupt government”, he charged.
