MARGAO: Snubbed by the authorities, former MMC chairperson Gonzago Rebello dismantled his illegal structure on his own.
The illegal structure was emptied and all the furniture from the same was removed by Wednesday.
It may be recalled that after two years and 21 hearings the Court of the Urban Development Minister has finally vacated his stay over the demolition of the alleged illegal structure of Rebello.
Rebello was given an option to approach the High Court if wished to which he did not prefer and removed his structure.
Earlier, MMC had issued a demolition order against the structure of Rebello after the hearing on the complaint of Savio Dias. The demolition was later stayed by the urban development minister.
