MAPUSA: On order from Judicial Magistrate First Class, the Mapusa police have booked Raju Gawas, a former chief officer of Mapusa Municipal Council, under Sections 167, 420, 466, 468 read with 34 of IPC.
According to police, one Milton Rodriguez complained that Gawas transferred his house number in the name of one Monica Rodriguez by using false documents. Milton stated that Gawas transferred the house number without following proper procedure and without his knowledge.
Milton lodged a complaint against Gawas in May 2017, but the Mapusa police failed to register the case. Therefore, Milton filed an application before the court for direction to the Mapusa police to register a case against Gawas.
