An excavator came
crashing down from the third floor of a dilapidated building at St. Inez on
Friday evening. Upon noticing that the floor of the building was shaking, the
operator jumped out of the vehicle and faced injuries on his legs.
On
Friday late evening, at St Inez, the excavator that was demolishing the building crashed from the third
floor of the abandoned dilapidated building due to the floor caving in. The excavator was
being used to demolish the 7-storey building since past couple of days.
The
operator jumped out the vehicle immediately when the floor began to collapse.
The operator sustained injuries on his legs and was quickly shifted to hospital
for medical treatment. Locals had raised concerns over the haphazard way the
machine was used to demolish the building.
