VASCO: Exclusion of Shantinagar area from the ODP 2030 as a parking area of airport is a great news for the people said Convenor of Goencho Avaaz, Captain Viriato Fernandes on Sunday.
Speaking to the reporters, Captain Viriato Fernandes of Goencho Avaaz has applauded the decision of excluding Shantinagar area as a airport parking from ODP 2030. The decision came as a blessing to many residents who were in fear that their houses would be bulldozed if it remains as a parking area for airport.
Fernandes pointed out that when Goencho Avaaz had highlighted this issue few months ago that time Vasco MLA Carlos Almeida had neglected it.
He questioned that if the issue was unimportant then why CM Dr Pramod Sawant attended this issue.
“The recent announcement made by the MPDA chairman Clafacio Dias about Shantinagar exclusion as a parking for airport proves that the issue was very important. This has helped in saving several houses,” Fernandes added.
