VASCO: Expressing concern over the future of MPT employees who tend to agitate on various issues, Union Minister of State for Shipping Mansukh Mandaviya asked State Urban Development Minister Milind Naik to execute four-lane highway work.
Mandaviya also askedc Naik to settle issues of the MPT employees before they resort to agitations said sources.
On Thursday, Mandaviya visited Mormugao Port Trust and met Urban Development Minister Milind Naik with regards to the issues related to the port. Repeated efforts to contact Naik on the discussions with Mandaviya proved futile.
Sources close to Urban Development Minister confirmed that Mandaviya in his brief discussion asked Naik to execute the four-lane highway work and urged him to settle the issues and other difficulties of MPT employees before they resort to agitations.
Handling of green cargo, steel and common CTO were discussed. Mandaviya instructed Naik to undertake preventive and non-polluting measures for handling of coal, sources added.
